Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

And what better way to revive the series than by throwing him into a skylanders game to make him relevant again.

Now I was never a big Crash fan but this is where he belongs in all honesty and I'm excited about the idea as long as he's playable across all versions. The worst thing they did last year was make Bowser and Dk exclusive to Nintendo consoles.

Now what element would Crash be? I'm going to say Magic.

V I'm affraid actually alot of people I know are slagging the idea off as an attempt to flog a dead horse.

Crash hasn't really been relivent since ps1

Yeah they own the rights, which is what threw me through a loop when I first thought about it. The exclusive may just be timed meaning that Ps owners get to play with it on launch if they buy the pack however once a few months go by they make a single pack. Think of how well the Ps version will sell this year if it's true....Let us run down the facts.

1."Crash Pack" exclusive to Ps, Crash began on the Ps
2. Following the trend of Exclusive figures like last year.
3. Crash's 20th Anniversary.
4. He has been rumored way before this news.
5. Activision owns the rights.
6.Sd playing Crash is just too much of a coincidence.
7. Last but not least the Crash talk is everywhere on the net now bursting CootFans bubbles everywhere of a new game.

Activision currently owns Crash's rights, starting with Crash of the Titans for later copies of the game.

V Yeah. How could this NOT involve Crash? All evidence points to it. He's been an anticipated character for many years now, and his crossovers with Spyro could also mean something. What's more, Sky Dad randomly did a Crash Bandicoot gameplay the other day. Coincidence?

I do believe that the crash edition has something to do with crash bandicoot because it's crash's 20th anniversary .

V I agree. And why would he work on the PS4 but not the PS3. It would make no sense. I think what might happen is he's exclusive to the back, but he works on all consoles. I'd be fine with it if that were the case. Also, PwnageFTW mentioned a good point - it probably wouldn't be called the Crash Pack if it were exclusive. I mean, last year, it wasn't the Bowser Pack or the Donkey Kong Pack.

VV Possibly, its nice to think playstation finally gets a exclusive but crash has actually appeared on every console meaning it makes no sense to make it a PS eclusive

VVVVVV the last picture kinda looked like the place they described in ghost roasters story.

Also search up skylanders imaginators wolfgang figure ad look at the 2nd and 18th picture they show the packaged dark starter pack and the figures for the unnamed life and fire fuigre.

VV It could be some sort of weapon pack.

I think everyone should just calm down until we know for sure.

VV Greeble I agree, and I'm hoping to god they have put him in as he has nothing to do with the spyro fanchise, plus crash was fantastic on ps1 but since it's become a dead series.

Lets hold our breaths till we get some info.
