Spyro: A Hero's Tail

The fifth major console version of the little purple dragon has arrived. Spyro returns this time developed by the company behind such games as Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Crash Bash. Eurocom. They bring with them a fresh feel to the series that had been nearly completely ruined by the efforts of the last company in Enter the Dragonfly.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail is released on all three major consoles, the PS2, GameCube and Xbox. Featuring five playable characters including one brand new character, Blink the mole.

Once again the Dragon Realms are in danger, this time from a fellow dragon. Red, the evil dragon, a fallen dragon elder has placed many dark gems all over the realms in order to gain control over them. Their powers are seeping into the world and corrupting it. It's up to Spyro and friends to save the world again!

this game was pretty good. c: i hated the sparx mini games, though. they were really annoying, especially with obstacles.

i like how you can play as ember and flame too. :3 i wish they gave flame and ember their own little elements with the same effect as spyro's (like, something that works on waterwheels instead of water). and i wish they didn't put spyro in the ball gadget and instead sitting flame/ember, and put ember/flame in the cutscenes.

but overall good game. 7/10 :P

I love this one, it is the best spyro game that i have. I'm hopwfully getting the very first one that they made.

I just completed this one to 100% last night, last time I did it was 6 years ago...lol. This game is actually kind of cute, I like it, mostly because Hunter is fully playable, and Blink the mole is fun to play. I hate beating Red the first time, its much harder than the second time, it took me an hour yesterday >.< Beating Red the second time is a breeze, you basically just have to dodge him, then use the weapons given to Spyro at random...its not too complicated. They have these character skins you can put on Spyro when you complete the sets of dragon eggs for them, and its pretty funny to put the Ember skin on him, its like playing her, only she has Spyro's voice...lol

@Purple n Spyro: I found out about this game round the same time as you did, maybe a year before, I've completed it all 100%, it took me a while to get used to the game, and no, nothing bad happens to the Professor, you see him at the end of the game.

The game may have been a significant improvement but it changed too much about Spyro from the controls to the music. This is were it all start to wrong.
