The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night

The sequel to The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and the second of a trilogy, this game The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night sees the return of Spyro the Dragon and the continuation of the story that was left hanging in the previous game.

This is the game I'm currently on in the LOS series. I have completed ANB and after I complete this I will get DotD. So far, this game is really tricky, I think it's a lot harder than ANB.

V I agree with the level issue but I don't think cheats have to be added. I always complete a game without cheats before trying with cheats, and I prefer a challenge. This is just me, but I respect your opinion

With the character designs, I liked the DotD style as it looked mature and realistic, however some of the character models (Ignitus) bugged me a bit. This game, although the hardest, wasn't too bad.

I think this had to be the hardest in the TLoS Series. The no use of cheats (apart from the DarkSpyro cheat of course) made this like ten times harder than ANB and DoTD are. I did still enjoy it though, some of the levels such as the Grove and the first temple level bugged me a bit, but after that when you progress onto the Flying Frigates and Skabb's arena, and the White Isle etc the game does improve.
I wish the company could've made DoTD as well because I really liked the character's designs etc., but I'if I'm correct I think that the company (Krome?) were having finical issues? :/

VV I don't know... maybe it's to do with how popular the wii and ps2 was compared to x-box at that time...

Yeah, The well of Souls had a great backstory, so why didn't they make it Spyro's job to destroy it or something? I like the time crystal at the end though... AND KEEP DARK SPYRO D:

Definitely, it was a filler. Not a lot happens if you think about it. Most of it seems pretty pointless in terms of story progression.

I guess this game was sort of a filler... I mean, the first game had a purpose, to stop Cynder and save the guardians. DotD was that Spyro had to defete the dark master and this one was to... save Cynder... again...

Well I'm having a go at this game again, I haven't played it since 2010. I'm already using the dark Spyro cheat, it makes it a lot more fun. But yeah, it's not all that great really.
