Spyro: A Hero's Tail

The fifth major console version of the little purple dragon has arrived. Spyro returns this time developed by the company behind such games as Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Crash Bash. Eurocom. They bring with them a fresh feel to the series that had been nearly completely ruined by the efforts of the last company in Enter the Dragonfly.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail is released on all three major consoles, the PS2, GameCube and Xbox. Featuring five playable characters including one brand new character, Blink the mole.

Once again the Dragon Realms are in danger, this time from a fellow dragon. Red, the evil dragon, a fallen dragon elder has placed many dark gems all over the realms in order to gain control over them. Their powers are seeping into the world and corrupting it. It's up to Spyro and friends to save the world again!

I so agree with you guys,

the graphics are so great and colourfull, and unlike skylanders a game made 7 years later (not saying it's bad for that), this had it's own animated cutscene for each character and it had pretty good jokes and collectables -
"dude!"

I must I didn't like playing as blink, but the sgt bird challenges are one of the best things in the game in my opinion and I really enjoy the cannon challenges.

A Hero's Tail actually isn't that overrated, the graphics are beautiful and the game is very well-made and produced. The only thing I didn't like was HAVING to play as Stg. Byrd and Blink, other than that I really enoyed it.

Nowadays since I finished the game twice, I just play as Ember and Flame and get the stuff I didn't get before.

I personally think this is a good game, I loved the cutscenes, levels, level of difficulty when I was a kid, the colourfull graphics, it had so many new things, I like ETD too, but this is my top fave along with skylanders.

@Purple n Spyro: I don't think so, since it seems that the majority of people don't like it that much, or think it has changed for the worse too much, and caused it to have a reboot because of the poor reception it had from critics, I don't see what is so wrong with it really.

If anything AHT is way overrated. "Tis the best game ever!" Yeah okay *facepalm*

When fans compare ETD to this game, I find that they're over-rating ETD a bit to be honest. I think that AHT is miles better, and I think the gameplay is more interesting since there's a lot of newer things in it.

ETD is a good, fun game. it's relaxing when it doesn't glitch, not one of my faves, but it's not a 'bad' game.

Just kidding. EtD was better. Way better <3 RIP Spyro ;-; (I mean like after this game. Although how could they change his perfect voice... >:/ stupid Company.)
