Amazon.co.uk and CentreSoft have today revealed the names and pictures of the set of individual characters that will be available at release. So here's what you'll be able to get Day 1.

In the console and PC starter packs:

In the 3DS starter pack:

There are also special Adventure Packs which contain a set of themed items and a character. In one called "Pirate Seas" you can get Terrafin along with some pirate themed items that will enhance your game.

I'm pretty much getting the 3DS version if I have a 3DS by then (probably will). I much rather trust Vicarious Visions over Toys For Bob. Plus, Dark Spyro makes it all worth it.

I think the individual collecting of the figures is stupid and they're probably gonna cost and arm and a leg to collect all of them....curse them.

It's much cheaper to buy the figures in packs of 3 than it is individually so I don't see why anyone would bother. Unless some figures aren't included in any of the packs of 3 and can only be bought on their own then there's no other reason to buy them. There's no point in me buying, for example, Flameslinger on his own when I could get Flamslinger, Stump Smash and Drobot for cheaper than buying each individually.

Activision, you defy logic.

That's how multipacks work. They make more per character from the individuals but sell more overall with the larger packs.

From the consumer point of view you spend less if you just want one specific character or you save money if you want all three. It's a perfectly normal marketing strategy.

I know, I understand that. But we're talking about Activision here. Activision who will penny and dime the **** out of people if they can. Any other business and I'd understand.

I'm calling Dark Spyro, Cynder. 'Cuz the different colour thing makes it look a bit like her. And did YOU call him Dark Spyro? If I wanted this game, I'd get Dark Spyro because he looks cooler that way smilie

Cynder has eight horns, Spyro has two. Cynder has a violet-maroon underbelly, Spyro has a golden one.

Yes, I know, I think it's weird how you can think that the Skylanders dark Spyro looks like Cynder just by a shading of colour, lol. It's like me saying "Oh I'll paint myself purple, and from doing that I'll look like Spyro, I'll look just like him" smilie

Didn't we go over this already?

This is a spinoff game. In spinoff games, it's common for only the main character to be in the game.

It could also be considered a reboot, which also often leaves only the main character in the game.

No not really, but I'm just asking, why would you want to rename the normal Spyro as Dark Spyro, doesn't make much sense when one already has that name.

It's pretty much confirmed that you'll only be able to get Dark Spyro by getting the 3DS starter pack.

You can't. You can only get him if you get the 3DS version. He will play on other systems, but there's no other way to get him.

Perhaps in a couple of years, you may get someone who will want to sell the Dark Spyro figurine separately. If you're lucky that is.
