- When i put in my name, the backround story was very similiar to this. Very eerie. Indeed.

Those names are just... bleh, to be totally honest.

The total lack of giving a hoot on Flip Wreck's backstory is killing me.

Really, really disappointed in the names and backstories they chose. "Flip Wreck is half dolphin and half ship wreck" How?!?!? He is a dolphin with legs, how is he half ship wreck? And what kind of backstory is that? "Bat spin needed to save the world, and she did." Really? And Bat Spin is word play on what?

I almost think they picked two bad names for the bat person and dolphin so that High Five (the obvious name based on the flying thing with the 5 on the hat that 90,000 people submitted) wins.

The anemic back stories have more to do with the character limit imposed when submitting entries than with a lack of creativity on the part of entrants.

That having been said, Bat Spin is a truly underwhelming name.

Hopefully either High Five or Flip Wreck will win. I'm sure that the TFB team will enhance the characters back stories prior to releasing the new game.

Oh for the love of Eon, Flip Wreck's "backstory". The name is actually a pretty bad(thus good) pun,but the description should put that out of the competition, the rules speficially said you had to give him backstory. Bat Spin's name is horribly uncreative and High Five is fortunately also a bad good pun, and even if their stories are cheesy as heck, at least they're more than a descriptive sentence.

Guys who can vote, keep us from sacrificing a bunch of Hex and Thumback toys to the character design gods and vote for High Five.

I saw dozens of better names suggested on this board, Sawlphin was my favorite btw, but still lots of great names around that should've gotten in place in these.

Backstories are forgivable as the character limit was so strict, but Bat Spin's was just... ugh... something like bats saved her from some fate because she was always kind to them but she still ended up undead or something would've worked so much better.

Guess we know that the target demographic are certainly winning.

Really.... the names are kinda boring.... but the backstories!? its always the same... trolls attack, skylander saves, eon saw it blahblahblah... who agrees? the name Dragonfly was even better for High five....

In my opinion 9 year olds made these. Bat Spin? Dear lord... I can just about forgive High Five in terms of name and back story(JUST), but the others? They are almost(or even more) as uncreative as: but "Flip Wreck"'s back story? Who on earth thought that THAT was a good one!? Urgh. *leaves topic*

Not for the character, no.

I'm not sure about any of those names, although "Flip Wreck" is slightly better than the other two (though his backstory seems a little washed-up...pardon the pun). The backstory for "Bat Spin" doesn't quite make sense, since she seems more like a vampire queen who uses Warnado as a mount. And "High Five"? Decent backstory, though I can't work out how the "Five" part applies to him.

High Five's pun name works on many levels, and the backstory is decent.

Flip Wreck's name really fits a Skylander, but the "backstory" is a no no.

Well I say the best named Sylander is High 5

Yay! Skylanders passes up some perfectly good names for some lame ones written by kids. "Bat Spin" and "High Five" sound like 90's bands or something a 7 year old would nickname these characters instead of calling them their real name, and "Flip Wreck" sounds like a toddler trying to say shipwreck. I can see it now... Trap Team is going to be the last Skylanders game.

Well, I'd nickname any if I got them, but Flip Wreck is okay.

wait if we're voting for not the name but the top skylander, that means two of them aren't going to be in the next game...if i read that correctly. which means yeah eventhough you pick names that means two just remain concepts. if you went on that logic i don't like the bat girl or the hybrid dolphin eventhough flip wreck is the best name for him. high five i bet too many came up with and looks the most interesting to go with. i'd go for high five i guess but at this rate the contest was a disappointment

If I had to choose either one of the three new heroes, I'd definitely go for "High Five". The Life element would like to have the first flying Skylander.

Here are my opinions:
High Five: He's pretty cool; I'm most likely going to get him.
Flip Wreck: He's alright; I might get him. He also looks more like 2/3 dolphin and 1/3 shipreck than 1/2 dolphin and 1/2 shipwreck.
Bat Spin: No. Just no.
I kind of liked High Five's backstory, but Flip Wreck's story could have been longer, and Bat Spin's story...Once again, no. Just no.
Edit: I think that High Five's backstory actually could have been longer, but I still like the figure.
