And even though this will wrap up the Legend of Spyro story they also go on to mention that annual releases of Spyro on all major gaming platforms in 2009 and beyond are planned.
UPDATE: Called "Legend of Spyro: Darkest Hour"? EBgames, they list PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and DS versions of the game.

yeah, but she is still a black dragon..i think she will have the Dark powers and will be stronger.
the only way Spyro could use the dark powers is when he was connected to the dark master in that big purple stream inside the mountain fortress. Cynder could not even use fire or any other element when she was recued, she might still be able to use fire and mele attacks, but not Dark Powers. Just because she is a black dragon doesn't mean she could use the dark master's powers.

There was a time when Cynder was an evil dragon, but now she chose to be on the light side. When you are on the light side, you only have light or regular powers. This means that Cynder will not have any dark powers of any sort.
A big part of the game would be them waking up, how would they get out of the Mountain Fortress?? And how would they get back to the temple? I don't think they can fly back up to the giant hourglass inside the celestial caves. Make ya think, but I'm pretty certain that the creators will do a really good job.
Getting out of the mountain will most likely be the tutoral level......

Besides, Cynder's cool for a female dragon; we came to a conclusion in The Eternal Night that she needed more growth, and the fact that she's going to be used as a co-op character proves that she will GET that growth. Surely something like THAT would change your mind over how "dull" you think she is?
