I'm kind of surprised, though not in the extatic sense O.o It does sound expecting that Spyro is bound to reach a cinematic format, but the experience of the company in question seems to worry me. Yet, their association with Jim Davis (the creator of Garfield) among their projects based on said comic strip cat showed that they should have some spokespeople from Sierra to try and give them some pointers on its direction and so forth.

I can't see much of a boost given to the franchise's morale through a CGI movie, but odds are it won't attempt to dwindle the fanbase or anything, so no worries about that. Still, this might be the strangest news I've heard all month, so goodness knows if they really WILL put it into practice.

i have not been past the legend, but seeing that there are more than ten spyro games in the series, i doubt the movie would be good at all. what is it going to be about?

besides, spyro doesn't belong on the big screen. it's a video game.
it just doesn't seem like it could make a very enjoyable movie.

I was scanning the tele' ads like I actually cared what they had to say. One of my biggest hopes for the movie is that it isn't fricken Cellshaded, urgh. I HATE cellshading. I hope its realistic enough to be believable but also cartoony enough to be fantasy, in visual detail that is. Oh, and I hope the voices are good, I think Tom Kenny is doing the voice for spyro and Gary Oldman is doing the voice for Iginitus, although none of that's not official as far as I know (at least not on IMD.

Sorry to be rude. I'm one of the hugest Spyro fans out there, been there since day 1 with Spyro, but even then I can't be positive. I'm not so stupid as to ignore the signs in front of me - everyone involved in this movie have done very poor to horrible work before, I believe in miracles but nothing so huge as to think they'll magically make a good Spyro movie.

I'm staying pessemistic about the movies quality. That's because, in my experience, if I keep my expectations low, the more likely the movie is to be good in that I'm more likely to notice the good bits more than if I had high expectations. If I have high expectations, I'll notice the bad bits more.

like when AHT came out, i predicted the EXACT year it would come out!!! so there fore, i wouldn't have lost faith in spyro until like 6 or 7 years after ETD came out, cuz it takes bout 4-5 years to make a game. (well it doesn't any more)
i also predicted the year that ANB came out, and so that had also given me faith, all i'm sayin is if they keep making spyro games, and so i have something to look forward too, i will never lose my interest in spyro.

I usually lose interest within a week or two when no knew information comes out about something. However I've been a Spyro fan for years, now its a full blown addiction, although that won't last long without knew stuff to play/see/read. On the movie subject, even if the writers aren't well known, doesn't matter to me as I don't know any writers that well. If they hire a good director that could make all the difference.

It comes out on my last year of high school, I'd practically be an adult (just a few months from it). The movie is being made by an unkown and unproven (quality wise) company by equally unkown and unproven writers and, as far as I know, the director has not even been anounced yet. Yea, he looked amazing in the story mode things in ANB and TEN games. So they should make those graphics for the movie. I sure hope they hvave Elijah Wood for Spyro and Billy West for Sparx and Gary Oldman for Ignitus! I loved their voices!!!
