Well, this game really does appear to be more platforming-orientated than its predessesor. Isn't that training level Convexity? Also, I love those small portals Spyro uses. They remind me of the end of level portals of STD.

I'm so tempted to draw the Ape King if I get the chance, and not to mention I feel pretty concerned for what Cynder's roles in the game are going to be. I'm intrigued O.O

Also, yeah, Billy West's voice as Sparx might take some getting used to since his voice texture is distinctively different from David Spade's but he's definitely a lot more enthusiastic about the role. I felt the same with the chance of actress for Aerith in Kingdom Hearts II and I grew used to that over time as well, so no worries.

The vids at IGN are also worth the spotting as well (strange, I subscribed myself to the news feeds and didn't receive any emails). I'm intrigued to get to know the Wii controls myself if I ever DO get one before my dad, lol. Also, why mention any new GBA screenshots when there aren't any? Just pointing that out of curiosity.

All in all, this is sweet stuff, so well appreciated

Just checked Gamespot now, I managed to find them there. It was cool that they provided new screenshots, but why those with lesser impressive backgrounds than some of the stages in the GBA trailer? Oh well, at least it's being kept up easily.

That part when Sparx said "we gotta get outa here now" looked like a flash back to when Spyro rescued Cynder in ANB I wonder why they had Billy West go over David Spades voice?

They did exactly the same with Kingdom Hearts II, when in some sequences they brought in flashbacks from the prior game. In the original, Mandy Moore and Billy Zane respectively voiced Aerith and Ansem, and were replaced in the second game by Mena Suvari and Richard Epcar respectively; they even re-recorded the original actors' lines in those stated flashbacks.

As far as I'm concerned, the change of voice actor for Sparx will still not affect how I will appreciate the game once it comes out on European shores.

Does everyone know what (or think) might happen in the sceen where spyro and cynder walk in a circle in that pirate fight arena, facing each other? Could be fighting each other for real or just planning something out? That one scene really got me thinking..........

I think that Gaul captured Cynder and is making her fight Spyro. That's what I think.

Just thought I'd mention that Sparx's singing voice in the cutscene video hosted at the Gamespot PS2 section had me in an uncontrollable fit of laughter for 10 minutes

Sparx's singing? I'll have to see that! And Nayamous, that was just what I was thinking. It looks like Cynder was being carried on a leash, so Gaul probably did capture her to thwart spyro's efforts somehow.

Gary Oldman sounds WWAAAYYY different as Ignitus than when hes Sirius Black on Harry Potter, dont ya think?

I'd put it all down to the strain of being forced to fight. I mean, how would you feel if you were locked in the cellar of your own home and no one would let you out until you could prove that you could play the accordion? And once you do finally prove it, how would you personally feel about it? Odds are Spyro might feel the same way with the forced fighting on Skabb's ship.

I agree I'm going to miss Cree Summer and David Spade (even though everbody says he sucks)

I'm pretty sure that WAS Cree's voice in the opening movie (Gamespot - Wii section) when the said "My master returns". Mae might just be her child form, and unless she made an agreement for the use of stock voice footage there, she could still be in the game albeit voicing another character or two.

i think they r replacing Cree coz she was doin th voice for BIG Cynder and they need a SMALL Cynder voice and Cree sounded a bit too..older and evil.....n e 1 else think so?

Cree has voiced kids in the past (Penny in Inspector Gadget, Numbah 5 in Kids Next Door, Suzie in Rugrats, etc) so that couldn't be seen as a reason. Though, some people at the Sierra community forums did claim that in A New Beginning, Cynder's spoken lines as a kid still sounded a little moody for a kid hence the possible attempt at getting Mae to fill in as the younger variant.

I'm still sure that Cree will be involved to some degree. There's no way that the clips as adult Cynder transferred from A New Beginning would be there without a reason; if that was the case, then David Spade's lines as Sparx would still be there in that opening movie rather than Billy West re-doing them.

Maybe her name isn't listed in the opening, like in ANB. Maybe Mae has a role as a different female...

...but it doesn't seem that likely. Maybe they SHARE the role?
