WorthPlaying brings the first 23 images of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and confirmation of it being on the PlayStation 2, Wii, DS and GBA and that it is going to be released towards the end of this year. The game is being developed by the same companies as before, Krome Studios and Amaze Entertainment.
They also mention that Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman are back as Spyro and Ignitus, though there's no mention of David Spade. This is apparently the second of a trilogy of Legend of Spyro games.
Thanks go to Michael for finding the article.

Well that was sudden, I checked for new news just last night and didn't see anything like this. Too bad its a continuation of the reboot, but the title suggested as much. I hope it is better than ANB, which wasn't bad but they can improve.

If I may say so myself, the graphics for the DS version are a major improvement over the graphics of the DS version of ANB. It doesn't actually say in the WorthPlaying article what consoles the game is for, just what consoles the screens belong to, leaving a possiblity for versions on the PS3, the PSP and the Xbox 360.

Not that we need it but Nintendo of Europe is now listing TEN so it seems to confirm it again. But again we didn't need that.

Looks like one of the Wii screens has been out for two days at this German site. It has a new character art of Spyro which unfortunately makes him look goofy. Can't we just get a more adult Spyro, already?!

Also they mention 'Dragon Time' which was in ANB but not really named:

Also some more info:
New Combos Include: Comet Dash, Artic blow, Earth Pound and Electric spin. And the Pirate King is an Ape named Gaul. Also it mentions Dragon Time again as a way to avoid hostile situations and be used in puzzles.
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.spieletester.com%2Findex.php%3Farea%3D1%26p%3Dnews%26newsid%3D4778&langpair=de%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
There seems to be a character named Skabb too. And the story:
The small dragon is not only afflicted in his new adventure by strange visions, but must also recognize that his adversaries want to bring the world into an age of darkness. Joining in the the fight against the bad again this time will be Spyro's faithful companions, speedy spirit Sparx and Spyro's Mentor, which one knows as the wise Ignitus.

It may be that since the Germans Ratings Board put up TEN's rating these sites all copied and re-worded the same information (or misinformation) but they all list the same stuff:
-Those 4 new attacks (Comet Dash, Artic blow, Earth Pound and Electric spin)
-Gaul the Pirate King
-Someone named Skabb
-Strange Visions
-Jump N' Run Format (which may be their wording for platformer)

Well, I guess the adult version of Spyro will have to wait a while longer for his debut. Oh well... I will definitely will purchase this game to get some more ideas to incorporate into my series. I have to keep up to date to do the franchise justice.
Anyway, the screenshots look okay. I am not surprised they are using the same graphics again. They wouldn't waste more money to redesign Spyro yet again. That would be stupid after going through all that trouble in the first place throw away the original Spyro design and storyline for this one. Well at least they being consistent for once by keeping a similar look for each of the games. Now, I wonder how the 3rd and final game in this trilogy will look like... hmmm...!
Of course... the question that should be on everyone's mind is the one that goes something like this: "What comes next after this trilogy is finished...?"
I sincerely hope we don't get another reboot or change in design.

You're all looking forward to TEN as much as I looked forward to ANB. Well, I'm not actually that excited about TEN myself. I'm just waiting for the 2008 one - Spyro's tenth anniversary.
And slightly off-topic, a good extra game (that slips into none of the Spyro series') would be like an unseen and hidden adventure, set inbetween GtG and YotD.

I can't believe what the graphics look like on the gba this time. It rivals the ds and wii even tho its in 2D, extremely pretty. I wanna get both the ds and the gba one for my ds. Sometimes the gba games are better. Anyone remember TMNT? That is a good example. I had more fun with the gba one than my ps2 one because it was like the arcade games.

All you have to do is compare pictures of the two games side by side to see that there is a huge difference just right there. They don't even look like they work made for the same system. I love my ps2, but so far to me the gba version of this game has the most charm from the pictures they have shown us so far. I'm sure all the games will be fun tho. I can't wait to see if they release videos soon! Then we could get a better idea how they play... and if the gba one really does suck, yet again or not.

I found this on the web the other day. Seems as if Billy West has also been added to the voice roster. No mention of what role he will have in particular is mentioned though, but I'm concerned he's going to replace David Spade as Sparx, thanks to some of his prior roles including Murfy in Rayman 3 and Fry and other chracters in Futurama.

Hey Dark,
This isn't really the best place to post this so I hope you see it. I had an idea for another page ... you may think it's stupid. It would be a page dedicated to listing everything developers have told us they were forced to exclude from the games. I think this would be neat just because then fans can see the types of things that could have been. Examples include Momkey's Kitchen, Elora being playable in AOTR, Gnasty originally being an ETD boss, tradable creatures on wi-fi originally in SL etc. Totally up to you of course but I think this might be neat to add.

Yeah, the suggestions forum would be the place to post stuff like that. Sounds like an interesting idea though, but rather than an singular page it seems more like it'd be something that would go in a trivia section for each of the games in question.
And as for Billy West, if he's not Sparx then I at least hope he's doing more than just 'Additional Voices' like he did in Enter the Dragonfly.

All the screenshots look great. The only thing I'm wary about is the whole Age of Darkness plot. I mean isn't that (basically) what we got in SL? Anyway, I hope David Spade voices Sparx again. I rather like his new attitude in the LoS games
I'm tempted to end up getting this for DS, just because the graphics are indeed much more improved than the DS version of ANB.
