Despite the initial claims that the Nintendo characters would be exclusive to the starter packs they are now releasing Combo Packs for Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and his Barrel Blaster, and Hammer Slam Bowser and his Clown Cruiser.

Reports have already been coming in of people finding them in the wild. Don't forget that these figures and vehicles will only work on the Wii U, Wii, and the 3DS.

For those of you who skipped the Dark Editions you may be interested to hear that GameStop is going to be the exclusive home to a single pack of the Kaos Trophy which they're selling for $7.99. The Kaos Trophy simply allows you to race as Kaos during Sky races, it does not unlock any other extra content.

And finally, other reports are coming in for findings (or soon to be releases) of a whole host of new Alter Egos including Legendary Bone Bash Roller Brawl, Nitro Soda Skimmer, and Birthday Bash Big Bubble Pop Fizz.

When I went to my local TRU, Bowser and Donkey Kong Combo packs are actually available there before GameStop.

I think eventually I have to pick up the Wii U edition. But since I'm not interested in the racing aspect of things I will probably get Bowser. Now when can we expect Hot Streak and Spitfire?

To be honest, the fact that Donkey Kong and other nintendo characters are in Skylanders for me is just a mess! I don't really like it...especially the fact that they are Nintendo-exclusive! I just don't like it, it's unconfortable for me....

@JamesFakeman
Says the person with the PS logo lol..

and hey theres nothing stopping sony and microsoft from putting their characters in. Nintendo just happens to have their own set of Figures and it also helps that these figures double as Amiibo. SO hell, don't think of them as SKylander figures, but as really detailed amiibo that come with their own cars. And they're nintendo exclusive cuz....DUH...they're NINTENDO characters. That would make so sense for them to be on the PS and XBOX versions.

I as nintendo fan am really happy about this crossover. I almost wish IDW would put bowser and DK in the comics. But really, i love how they look, i love the abilities they have, their vehicles, and shows that Nintendo has strong relationships with other developers even though theres a lack of 3rd party support on the Wii U.

i mean serious it's the closest thing to a Mario/Spyro crossover we'll ever get. LOL Sounds weird but I love Mario and Spyro.

The Bowser/Clown Cruiser SuperCharged Combo Pack is more popular than the DK/Barrel Blaster Pack due to the fact that Bowser and the Clown Cruiser was only available for the Wii and 3DS versions. DK and the Barrel Blaster are already available from the Wii U starter packs.

The Kaos Trophies from the single packs are glossier than the ones from Dark Edition starter packs. Did anyone else notice that?

Bowser and Donkey Kong only being able to work on the Nintendo versions of the game never really bothered me because I didn't grow up with these characters. I grew up playing classic Spyro on the PS1, but I also like other games in the Spyro franchise, not just the first 3. However, I'm glad other people are able to get Hammer Slam Bowser and Turbo Charge Donkey Kong without having to buy multiple starter packs.
