UPDATE
To help show off your creations I've made a simple Dragon Generator that you can use to recreate your dragons from Spyro's Lair and share them with the world.
Also included are the Enchanted Scriber's Quill Locations as well as the locations for all of the Relics, both Health and Magic. And for those of you who've beaten the story, there's also a guide to the Dragon Challenges.
Also, today finally sees the release of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night on the Wii in the UK. So that's good.
I've completed a full walkthrough to the game along with a guide to all of the locations of the many relics hidden throughout the game.
Happy gaming.

Spyro the Dragon could soon breathe some fire on the bigscreen: The Animation Picture Co. has optioned the rights to turn the purple star of Sierra Entertainment and Vivendi Game's vidgame franchise into a toon.
The film will apparently be based around the Legend of Spyro games.
IGN didn't much like the Nintendo DS version of the game, giving it a score of five and a half out of ten (they also have some videos of the game to help you prejudge it yourself).

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night is still far better than the first Spyro outing that appeared on the Nintendo DS, but it fails to keep the momentum going after last year's decent title.
Meanwhile Mobile Game Faqs give the mobile version of the game 76% (7% lower than their score for A New Beginning).

This is a well put together game that's fun to play. The levels do also have some variety between being gem collecting levels, boss levels and flying levels.
And magazines Play and Game Informer have apparently given the console version 8.5 and 6.25 respectively.
On the interview side of things, IGN have a lengthy (on the side of the interviewee) interview with Don Meadows of Krome Studios.

I am most proud that we have boss characters that are true boss characters. Both we and Sierra wanted to recapture what it was like to have the coin-munching bosses from older arcade games.
And finally, DS Fanboy also have an interview, theirs is with Amaze Entertainment's Sean Epperson about the GBA version.

It's designed in such a way that a player who is a novice to action games can do cool looking moves, while a player more familiar with action games would find many more layers to the depth of the combat system.
Thanks go to Neal for the magazine scores and finding the mobile review, and to Sean for pimping his own interview.

"We are extremely excited and honored that our game, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night was awarded the coveted Best Mobile Game Award by the Video Game Festival," said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile.
Due for release in November, you can find several new screens of the game in the Gallery.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night mobile game gives players the chance to guide Spyro through 13 graphically stunning levels, specially adapted for mobile phones. The mission is to collect the four elemental powers that will enable Spyro to halt the resurrection of the Dark Master. As Spyro’s powers are gradually unlocked, players will uncover the mysteries of the bizarre universe and the many enemies that populate it.
You can now also find a short demo of the game on The Mighty Troglodytes' website.
IGN have also posted a pair of gameplay videos for the Wii version of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night showing Spyro jumping around what appears to be this game's training area.
GameSpot too have a host of new videos, three for the Wii, and three for the PS2. They've also got some new screenshots for the Wii, PS2, DS and GBA versions.
Thanks go to Lil-Cynder for finding the IGN videos and spyrotrailers in the comments below for the Gametrailers links.
As well as that they've got some brand new screenshots there for the Wii, PS2, DS and GBA versions.
You can also find a couple of GBA videos here on the Gallery page.
There are plenty of new screenshots to see and a short piece about the story.

As the Night of Eternal Darkness approaches, Spyro is haunted by recurring visions of impending evil. He must master powerful new abilities on an epic quest to find the Well of Souls and prevent Gaul, the Ape King, from resurrecting the Dark Master.

The website also confirms that Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman and Billy West will be providing their voices for the game.

A sequel to the award-winning The Legend of Spyro: The New Beginning mobile game, this time around Spyro has eight enemy bosses to overcome across 13 levels of intense action. Spyro’s ultimate objective is to prevent the resurrection of the Dark Master; a task to which he rises with typical dragon valor.
Due to be released on the 12th of November, you can also see a couple of screenshots which you can find in the new Gallery for the game.
It's also worth noting that this is the first time that The Eternal Night has been mentioned in an English language Press Release by Vivendi.
They also mention that Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman are back as Spyro and Ignitus, though there's no mention of David Spade. This is apparently the second of a trilogy of Legend of Spyro games.
Thanks go to Michael for finding the article.
Hopefully in the year to come I can finish, polish, and rewrite the current guides, rewrite a lot of the website's code, get the new Guidebook started and get some new features available for registered members and guests alike.
The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night at the ESRB10:18 PM - Thursday the 24th of May, 2007 - by dark52
This is the latest development in the rumours of the next Spyro game which started back in February by way of a post on Codename Revolution which mentioned a new Spyro game for the Wii. It was followed a month later with a name; Spyro: The Eternal Night.
Yet another month later and a GBA game of the same name appeared on USK.de, the German software rating organisation's website with a rating which means that it is restricted for those below the age of 6.
Current rumours suggest an October 2007 release date and for the game to appear on the Wii, PS2, PSP, DS and GBA.
We've got additions for Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Spyro: Fusion, Spyro: Adventure, and Spyro: Season of Ice.
I have today finished off and posted my brand new and complete walkthrough for the mobile version of The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. Only got the DS version of the game left to write a walkthrough for now.
