12 Years of Skylanders, Have You Played Any?

Welcome to the brand new look to darkSpyro. We've got the same content as before and a little extra (minus Ripto Quest which will be back soon anyway). Use the image links on the left to navigate your way around the games. All other links are on the right as well as the advert, remember that that's the only thing paying for the hosting.

Anyway, there may be some new glitches and mistakes around the site whilst I try and iron any out. If you wouldn't mind mentioning any you find in the comments for this news post I'd be very grateful. And just so you know, the random image selection in the top right isn't switched on just yet, I'll probably get round to doing that tomorrow when I fix up the banner as well.

As well as all that, I've written a brand new guide, for the Mobile Phone game Spyro the Dragon. View the basic text file here.

UPDATE: Now with hover effects.

Thanks, I'm just glad I finally got it working right with only the one day delay.

Added the random images to the top right again, and the banner changes based on where you are in the site.

Ah, I see you changed it. They are both great but maybe you should have an option for site users to choose the one they like (if that is possible), otherwise I think I prefer sidebar as supposed to header more.

Done and done. I've also added in an option to switch between the EU or NA pictures and names for the sidebar.

Where's the option choosing button or whatever, I couldn't find it...that may be a glitch. Just thought I'd ask!

Well you need to be logged into an account for that. It's in the first section of the Display part of your own profile.

EDIT: Just uploading another change, now the bars have a hover effect. Woo! I've moved the google advert to the top of the page again as well. A few small alterations to the initial game pages has taken place too.

EDIT2: And now removed the slight bit of the Spyro the Dragon logo off the picture behind the advert, twas annoying me.

And yep, another change that may require a Ctrl+F5 to refresh the stylesheet to get it to look right. It's just an accessibility thing so that there are actually links to click on when the stylesheet isn't loaded for whatever reason.

This is interesting, IGN is listing a Spyro 6 under working titles, this is very recent. Maybe they know something...hope so!

Yeah, it's a shame they've got absolutely nothing to back it up with though, it'd be nice to have something to post news about. smilie

There's a topic about it in the General forum as well.

I can't seem to find it at Gamespot. But Gamespy and IGN are part of the same network so you'd kind of expect them to both have the same game info.

EDIT: And actually on topic, I've again made a small change, the news items should now be in round-cornered boxes. Ctrl+F5 if you just see the corners sitting by themselves out of place.

Every single one of the free hosts that I used was unreliable and often just vanished off the face of the earth, leaving the site to find a new home every few months. Our new paid hosts seem to have been much more reliable, offer a better service, more bandwidth, more space, actual site statistics, and it's also very cheap hosting. The Google adverts are there to cover the small costs of the hosting.

The site's completely free to users though and, for as long as the site exists, it always will be.
